Mr. Davis is recognized as one of the leading practitioners in the area of assessment and municipal taxation.  He has acted as counsel - at all levels of Courts and at the Assessment Review Board and the Ontario Municipal Board - on some of the most important cases involving assessment issues.  His practice has taken him to all assessment regions in the Province, and has included all property types.  He currently specializes in utility and large commercial and retail properties.

In addition to his counsel work, Mr. Davis' advice is often sought by other counsel, and by parties in both the public and private sectors, on matters relating to municipal assessment and taxation.

Related Experience: Mr. Davis has written papers and has been an invited speaker on the topic of municipal assessment and taxation for various organizations including: the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian Bar Association, the Institute of Municipal Assessors, and private continuing education providers. He is a co-author of the "Assessor and the Courts" prepared for the Institute of Municipal Assessors.
